Prof. (Dr.) ANJANI KUMAR is B. Tech. and M. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi; and Ph. D. in Mechanical Engg. (Tribology) from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He has a long teaching experience of more than 28 years in National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur including more than 13 years as Professor. He has an experience of Director / Principal / Director – Principal for more than 8 years. He has guided 09 M. Tech. / M. Sc. Engg theses; and 09 Ph. D. / Doctoral theses in different fields namely Tribology, CAD and CAM, Reverse and Concurrent Engineering, ERP, and Lean Manufacturing. He has published more than 150 research papers including more than 50 research papers in National and International Journals of repute.
He is reviewer of Journal of Tribology (Transaction of American Society of Mechanical Engineers), USA; Tribology Letters, USA; Journal of Arab Research Institute in Sciences & Engineering (Industrial Engineering) IRISER, Journal of Industrial Engineering and Management, Indian Journal of Engineering and Material Sciences, International Conference on Advances in Mechanical Engg., I.I.Sc., Bangalore etc.
He has got Honorary Appointment to the Research Board of Advisors of the American Biographical Institute in 2005. His name has been included in the Marquis Who’s Who in the World (U.S.A.) in 2009 Edition. He has been selected for inclusion and given place among 2000 Outstanding Intellectuals of the 21st Century 2009-10 in International Biographical Centre, Cambridge, England. He has been named as a member of IBC (International Biographic Centre, Cambridge, England) Top 100 Engineers 2009 and his work has not only been noticed but recognized as outstanding. The IBC has also awarded him an International Educator of the Year 2009; and the Plato Award on the Global Year of Learning 2009. The IBC has further confirmed his nomination as an International Engineer of the year for 2010. He has been honored as “Leading Scientists of the World 2012” by the International Biographical Centre, Cambridge, England.
In India, he has received the Institution Medal Award for 1996-97 and K. F. Antia Memorial Prize for 2002-2003. The co-author has received the best paper award in a National Conference at B.I.T., Mesra, Ranchi (Jharkhand). His name has been chosen for the “Best Citizens of India Award” in 2009.
He has presented two papers in International Tribology Conference, Kobe, Japan in May-June, 2005. He has chaired a session and also presented two papers in Twenty-Fifth International Conference on Solid Waste Technology and Management, Philadelphia, PA U.S.A., in March 14 – 17, 2011.
He has delivered Keynote lectures and guest lectures in several National and International Conferences. He is member of different professional bodies. He has further offers from different international journals abroad every year to review the papers. He has also offers of key note lectures / speaker in different international conferences abroad almost every year.
He had offers of different positions from different institutions abroad, namely Senior Lecturer at Multimedia University, Malaysia in 2002; Associate Professor at University Sains Malaysia, Malaysia in 2004; Assistant Professor at Etheopia in 2005; Professor at Eretria Institute of Technology, Eretria in 2008; and Professor in Mechanical Engineering at Al Fateh University- Tripoli, Libya in 2008 and 2009.
His name has been included in the Marquis Who’s Who in the World (U.S.A.) again in 2013 Edition and 2017 Edition. Marquis Who’s Who has further selected him for repeatedly their official 2017, 2018 and 2019 Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award.
